Which Portuguese city is cooler: Lisbon or Porto? Which has more street art? Which one is more authentic? These are the wrong questions to ask, because it doesn't matter. As the title says, "Todo o mestre já foi aluno", or: "All teachers were once students."

There's something to be said for the trope of the labyrinth--confusion, discovery, loss, mystery. Theseus and the Minotaur, David Bowie's eponymous film, the various creatures of a little girl's frightened imagination. How can we find our way out of the endlessly twisting, confusing paths that life itself makes for us?
The low-hanging fog had other plans. Instead of gorgeous, sun-saturated bright hues, there was a white haze and constant drizzle that made it impossible to get an 'Gram-worthy shots, but instead made the whole place feel like a magical forest of mystery and wonder.
