Spring in Poland

Wrocław seems to have skipped spring, that warming period between winter and summer, and now we are just in full-on summer mode, with beautiful weather and picnics on the islands in the Odra. Gone are the big coats and heavy scarves! Rejoice, for winter is finally over!

Last night everyone was out on the grass on Wyspa Słodowa, drinking beer and grilling kiełbasa on mini-charcoal grills sold in every convenience store. Even though drinking in public is illegal, policemen patrol without saying anything or handing out tickets, unheard of the in the states.

As Billie said, it’s summertime, and the livin’ is easy.
